Life would not be interesting if it were not so full of surprises! Changes in life circumstances, whether good or bad, can impact us in ways that we never expected. Sometimes therapy is needed to help people slow down and to talk through the impact of those changes on our daily lives and emotions. Dr. Pfeiffer works with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families whose lives have changed in some way. Typically she works to help them find ways to successfully adjust to those changes.
Adults in particular often find therapy a welcoming place just to focus on life events, explore goals and values, and sometimes reevaluate the direction life seems to be drifting in. Therapy can be a unique setting in which one is uninterrupted and encouraged to focus on their own needs in the context of the many roles people often hold.
